Claire - Managing Director / Owner

After working in the Third Sector and Social Care for over seventeen years within a wide range of roles, opening Harrington Homecare is a huge achievement for me and our wonderful team. I have experienced what it is like to be a carer and have been presented with the many challenges that this sector faces.

I opened Harrington Homecare with a vision to change the way care works, putting an emphasis on plans that work for each individual. I have a huge focus on quality of care and efficient delivery. Through my own personal and professional experience, I recognise the true values behind what makes an exceptional care provider.

My goal is to make both our staff and clients feel valued, creating a culture of transparency, trust, and inclusion. With our care service, we provide reassurance, safety, emotional and physical support whilst promoting independence and the opportunity to live an enriched, happy, and comfortable life.

I have been passionate about supporting those with disabilities and long-term health issues and this can be reflected in my work for many leading charities such as the British Heart Foundation, Great Ormond Street Hospital, SeeAbility and The Children's Society. Working closely with the Alzheimer's Society, I am a trained Dementia Friend and am familiar with the needs of many individuals living with complex health conditions.
