Claire
Managing Director / Owner
After working in the Third Sector and Social Care for over seventeen years within a wide range of roles, opening Harrington Homecare is a huge achievement for me and our wonderful team. I have experienced what it is like to be a carer and have been presented with the many challenges that this sector faces.
I opened Harrington Homecare with a vision to change the way care works, putting an emphasis on plans that are tailored to each individual. I have a huge focus on quality of care and efficient delivery. Through my own personal and professional experience, I recognise the true values behind what makes an exceptional care provider.
My goal is to make both our staff and clients feel valued, creating a culture of transparency, trust, and inclusion. With our care service, we provide reassurance, safety, emotional and physical support whilst promoting independence and the opportunity to live an enriched, happy, and comfortable life.
I have been passionate about supporting those with disabilities and long-term health issues and this can be reflected in my work for many leading charities such as the British Heart Foundation, Great Ormond Street Hospital, SeeAbility and The Children’s Society. Working closely with the Alzheimer’s Society, I am a trained Dementia Friend and am familiar with the needs of many individuals living with complex health conditions.
Shona
Care Manager
With over 13 years working in the care sector, I have built a positive reputation for delivering high quality care and am consistently recognised for my interpersonal skills. As a result of my hard work and efforts, I have gained people’s trust and respect to assist them in their personal and professional lives.
I have first-hand experience working as a carer and this has enabled me to develop my career to become a Senior Carer, to Team Leader where I have supported my fellow colleagues. I have an extensive history of working closely with healthcare professionals on behalf of clients and am familiar with the ever-changing care industry.
I love the work that I do and am extremely passionate about improving the way care is delivered in the community. I am grateful and honoured to continue supporting individuals in the most effective way I can, whilst leading our team to become the best versions of themselves.
Sally
Team Leader
I found my passion for caring whilst living in Zimbabwe. Caring for a number of family members with various health conditions, I soon recognised the fulfilling nature of looking after for others less able than myself.
I started my career as a Live-in Carer and eventually moved into visiting care for three years. With my ambitious and positive can-do attitude, I eventually worked my way up to Senior Carer after obtaining an NVQ Level 2 in Dementia. This is something I am extremely proud of and a cause that is close to my heart.
Through my experience, I have the knowledge, understanding and compassion it takes to be a successful Team Leader. I actively use my skill set to encourage, inspire, and motivate my peers. I am absolutely delighted to continue working with what I feel to be the most competent carers I have ever worked with in my career to date.
Lisa
Senior Carer
I have worked in care for over twently years and am familiar with many care settings, including care homes and home care. In my working career, I have provided specialist care, working closely with those living with Dementia, Alzheimer’s and Learning Disabilities.
Working in the industry for so many years, I have developed a broad skill set. My caring nature, empathy and kindness never goes unmissed. I find my job very rewarding and gain gratification from seeing others happy – especially knowing I can make a positive change to someone’s life.
