At Harrington’s Homecare, we believe that no one should ever feel alone. Social isolation can have a detrimental effect on a person’s mental and physical wellbeing which is why companionship is so critical.
Having regular social interaction and staying active is an essential part of good health and we promote this through our companionship care service.
What does Harrington Homecare’s Companionship Care include?
Companionship care can be available for as little as a couple of hours a week.
It is proven to make a huge difference to a person’s quality of life through providing physical and emotional support.
Having a familiar face to offer support whilst showing an active interest in your wellbeing is something we are very proud to offer.
Our companionship care includes:
- A Care Delivery team whom you can trust to provide expert support. This will enable your loved one to lead a full and enriched life within the comfort and familiarity of their own home.
- Management of all mobility issues
- Assistance with household and light domestic tasks
- Preparation of nutritious and well-balanced meals and fluids
- Transport and accompaniment to medical appointments
- Support with accessing the local community for shopping, outings and attendance of social groups or places of worship
